Donald W. Pudlowski

Donald W. “Pud” “Puddles” Pudlowski was born on September 5, 1949 to William and Gertrude Pudlowski.  He passed away on January 17, 2024 with his loving family at his bedside.  Don is survived by the love of his life, Kathie (Fournier), they have been married for 45 years.  He is also survived by his sons, Bryan (Michelle), Don (Michelle), and Jim (Amy); daughter, Ann (Frank); 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Rylie, Dustin, Andy, Peyton, Bailey, Camryn, Jessica, and Alex; brother, Robert (Ruth) Pudlowski; sister, Betty Whiteman and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gertrude Pudlowski, his in-laws, Charlotte, and Richard Fournier, sister-in-law, Nancy Fournier; and brothers-in-law, Dave Suchman, and Rick Whiteman.

Don was very proud of his Polish heritage; he loved making pierogi and kielbasa.  He graduated from Woodward High School in 1968 and worked at Dana until 1985.  Don then worked at Energy Control Boiler until 2011 when he retired from disability.

Don had many friends, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling with his wife, coaching baseball, doing puzzles and he was an avid Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan.  But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was talented in so many things and even bowled 2 perfect 300 games.

Family would like to thank our friends and family and everyone that has helped with Don’s care, spent time visiting him and just being there for him.  Special thanks to his nurses, Sara and Stasia at Elara Caring Hospice.  Thanks to the best neighbors, Steve and Norma Kirian for all their help, friendship and caring ways.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 4-8:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where family will greet guests after 10:00 a.m.   Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to Elara Caring Hospice.
