Donald "Iron Duck" Kopp Jr.

Don “Iron Duck” Kopp Jr., 55, of Toledo passed at 3:42 a.m. on January 18, 2025 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 19, 1969. To Don and Iona ( Aldrich) Kopp. Don graduated from Rossford and Penta in 1988. He met the love of his life Roxann and married on July 15, 2006 at The Switch Inn. They celebrated 18 years of marriage together. For 30+ years they raised four children and fifteen grandchildren. 

He found his calling in painting homes for 35 years. Also, spending more than 35 years being a “shadetree” mechanic. He loved to hunt and fish, also you could see him proudly riding his Harley “Dude2”. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Roxann Kopp; children, Ty (Jennifer) Braden, Tasha (Tommy) Ickes, Ruthann (Nick) Bolander, and Joshua (Suzanna) Kopp; grandchildren, Carlyann, Dominic, Conner, Dalton, Lila and Layla, Johanna, Nicholas, Anastasia, Justin, Jonathon, Anastasia, Koner, Charles, Elisabeth; sister, Kathy (Pam) Kopp; brothers, John Harlow and Jackie (Jesse) Kopp. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Debbie and grandson Baby Tommy. A memorial visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 12 until 2 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. In addition, a Celebration of Life will follow later to include a final ride. Donations to the family would be appreciated to help with final expenses.
