Donald C. Cowell, 72, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born April 10, 1943 to Clark E. and Anna B. (Jozsa) Cowell and was a 1961 graduate of Woodward High School. Donald honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.
For many years, he worked as an electronic technician for Ameritech formerly Ohio Bell. He was a jack of all trades who helped others fixing cars, various electronics and working on computers. He enjoyed camping, fishing and going to casinos.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Dianna Elder, Dawn Wills and Karen (Bradley) Everett; grandchildren: Jessica, Mathew, Ashlea, Brandon, Melyssa, Robert, Jacob and Anthony; and sisters, Anna Mae (Robert) Buhr, Joan Lake and Dorothy Shaffer along with many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, June 7, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will remain private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
