Dolores Joehlin of Curtice left to join her Lord unexpectedly on March 22, 2012.  She was born August 18, 1936 to Roma and Luella (Cover) St John.  She married Stanley Joehlin on January 14, 1956 and he survives.  She devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During the years her children were growing she served as a 4-H leader, and in the later years one of her greatest joys were the annual five day one on one summer visits of each of her grandchildren as they were growing up.
When there was time after the children were grown she volunteered at St Vincent’s Medical Center as a patient advocate and at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon.  Over the years she enjoyed all the travel she experienced, visiting all fifty states and international trips to Europe, Peru, Australia, and to her favorite country, New Zealand.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Romee and Chester St. John
She is also survived by four children, Linda Geist of Columbus, Kenneth (Janet) Joehlin of Atwater, Ohio, Rebecca Ford of Perrysburg, and Scott (Julie) Joehlin of Marion, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Kelly Branson (Brent), Derek Geist (Nalicia), Laura Mapes (Peter), Amy Joehlin-Price (Shawn), Russell Joehlin, Ashley, Dan and Doug Ford, and Andrew, Jason, and Adam Joehlin; two great-grandchildren, Malik and Carter Branson and siblings, Grace (Leland) Chamberlain, Lester (Nancy) St. John, Carol Whitzel, Charlotte Bradfield, Sandy (Lee) Miller and William (Joanne) St. John.
Visitation will be Monday, March 26 at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon from 2 to 8 pm, with the rosary to follow at 8 pm.  Services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday March 27, at 9:15 with Mass of Christian Burial at St Ignatius, 212 North Stadium in Oregon at 10 am, with interment in the St Ignatius Cemetery.  Family requests any memorials to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
