Dianne L. (Grau) Cleary

May 19, 1942 — July 11, 2012

Dianne Cleary, age 70, of Williston, passed away on July 11, 2012 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Edward and Emelia (Schassberger) Grau born on May 19, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio.  Dianne graduated from Whitney Vocational High School in 1960 followed by her work as a beautician.  She married Jeffrey Cleary Sr. and shared his life for the last 50 years.  Dianne worked at the Luther Home of Mercy for 33 years, most recently as the Volunteer Coordinator.  Her interests outside of work and family were leader of the Folk Group at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Bono, where she also taught catechism for many years, playing Bunco with friends and membership in the Allenettes for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; children, Kristine Cleary, Karen (Pedro) Soto, Kathleen (Matthew) Tylicki, Jeffrey Cleary, Jr.; grandchildren, Meghan and Morgan Peiffer, Nicholas Healey, Matthew and Aaron Tylicki, Julia Schweizer; great-grandson, Mason Diefenthaler.  Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Emelia and brother Gerald Grau.

Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers in the funeral home Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. continuing on with Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Bono at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Allen Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, Allen Clay Joint Fire District Station #1 or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
