Dianna Jane Wells, 71, of Oregon, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 after a long battle with heart failure. In her last days, she was surrounded and comforted by her family and friends; and the compassionate staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Dianna was born July 8, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to Lawrence and Mary (Byers) Brown. She attended Clay School and graduated in 1963. On June 19, 1965, she married the love of her life, Furman “Bud” Wells. Together, they raised their four children in a home built on a foundation of love for each other and God.
Dianna worked many years at Bay Area Credit Union, before retiring in 2011. Her love for people and commitment to helping others lended to the countless relationships she forged with members over the years. However, Dianna’s most memorable accomplishment was being the kind of spouse, parent and grandparent that we all should aspire to be.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Frederick Brown, Robert Brown and William Brown. Left to cherish her amazing memories are her husband of 51 years, Bud; children, Ronald (Kelli) Wells, Scott (Shari) Wells, Thomas (Denise) Wells and Crystal (Jason) Clark; grandchildren, Alison (Andrew) Laurell, Ashley Wells, Mackenzie, Kendall and Zachary Wells, Lana and Kurt Wells, and Aaron, Evan, Emily and Elyse Clark; and great-grandson, Grant Laurell.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4155 Pickle Road in Oregon with the family to receive guests one hour prior. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
