Dennis Richard Boerst, Sr.

Dennis Richard Boerst, Sr., 77, of Toledo OH left this world on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 to be reunited with his loving wife, Patricia. He was born in Toledo, OH to Robert and Alice (Barlett) Boerst on February 25, 1947. Dennis would later marry the love of his life, Patricia, in 1967. Together they would spend the next 57 years creating many happy memories and raising their family of four children.

Dennis and his wife, Patricia, were the owners of Aquarium East pet store for 30 years. He also worked as a lineman for Penn Central Railroad for several years. Dennis enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, fishing, archery and crafting with his wife. Dennis and Patricia were movie buffs, often visiting the theatre multiple times a week to enjoy films. Dennis will be greatly missed by those blessed to have known him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Robert (Michelle) Boerst, Dennis Boerst Jr., Christopher (Kimberly) Boerst, and Trisha (Paul) Mendoza; grandchildren, PJ, Kathryn, Breanne, Dennis III, Christopher Jr., Miranda, Adam, and Joseph; and four great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice; and his loving wife, Patricia, who passed in August 2024.

Private committal services were held at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH, where Dennis and Patricia were laid to rest. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel , Oregon, OH.
