Denise G. Gears, 64, of Toledo passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital in Oregon. She was born on January 2, 1953 in Toledo to Richard and Margaret (Morton) Warkentien Sr. Denise was a graduate of Clay High School. She was the manager at the Paris night club until her retirement. Denise loved her family and her granddaughters meant the world to her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Gears; granddaughters: Meghan, Halie and Kayla Gears; father, Richard (Dorothy) Warkentien Sr.; step-father, Paul Bockbrader; siblings: Karen Sawicki and Richard Warkentien Jr. 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Denise was preceded in death by her mother.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon. Burial will take place at St. Rose Cemetery 11330-11598 Avenue Rd.,
Perrysburg, OH 43551 on Friday May 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of her mother.
