Dena Marie Monroe Miller departed this world on November 7, 2013, to be with the angels.  She was born on October 4, 1981, and lived her life with love, laughter, and smiles.  She was a graduate of Clay High School and traveled to a variety of locations including New York City, Arizona, and Florida where she performed at Universal Studios and had an internship at Walt Disney World in pursuant of her passion for dance.  She sought to teach others about her love of dance by example and formed a dance studio, Inspire Dance Company, in 2008 where she taught her dancers that they could “change the world through the love of dance, one person at a time.”   She was awarded numerous dance and choreography awards at national and regional competitions throughout the United States including the New York City Dance Alliance’s Critic’s Choice Award and Cathy Roe’s Ultimate Choreography award.  Since opening her studio she was awarded best dance studio by the local business community and won numerous choreography and dance awards including top primary studio and top secondary studio.  Dena brought much love and happiness to her family, friends, students, and everyone she met.  She was loved and will be missed by her beloved husband, Douglas Miller, stepson, Alex Miller, loving parents, Kerry and Kevin Mantel and William Monroe, loving father and mother-in-laws, Dale and Joyce Miller, grandmothers and grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins, her loving cat Mia, countless friends, and students.
