Deloris Hammond

Deloris (Gratz) Hammond, age 93, of Holland, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Genacross Wolf Creek Campus surrounded by family. She was born on November 26, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Lowell and Mildred (Ziegler) Gratz. Deloris worked as an LPN for many years at St. Vincents Hospital in the burn unit. She also earned her Bachelor of Religious Education from Piedmont Bible College in 1974. Deloris was involved in many missionary trips with Baptist Church Planters throughout North America and Canada. She also helped with children’s ministries at various churches over the years.

 Deloris is survived by her daughter, Sara (Ron) Billings; son, Rodney (Melinda) Hammond; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Gratz; mother, Mildred Gratz Hickman; husband, Edwin Hammond; daughter, Rebecca Bryant; brother, Jerry Gratz; and stepsister, Rita Carper.

 Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 10 –11:00 a.m. where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Private burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
