Dawn Marie Brushaber

Dawn Marie Brushaber passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 18, 2025. Dawn was born on August 8, 1966, to Robert and Nancy Reichard in Oregon, OH. Dawn graduated from Clay High School in 1984 and then began her most loved job of being a stay-at-home mom. Dawn worked for Oregon City Schools for 21 years as a bus aide. Dawn loved her job, her students, and special coworkers. Dawn was a compassionate, loving woman and most importantly, a wife, mama, grammy, sister, and auntie.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Robert L Brushaber; daughters, Monica King, Chelsea (Collin) Carter, Leah (Greg) Johnson; grandson, Cullen Moore; sisters, Rebecca (Mark) Dominique, Jennifer (Jeff) Nowak; cousin, Amber (Tait) Miller; nieces Haley Dominique, Calee Reynolds, Cassidy Nowak, Kennedy Miller; nephews Jake Dominique and Wyatt Miller; special friend and partner in crime, Cheryl Walsh. Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Charles and Marie Miller, Elmer and Erna Reichard; favorite aunt, Carrie Miller; and special animal companions, Dozer, Sallie Mae, Tawny, and Howard. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, OH, followed by a private funeral and burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Curtice, OH. All monetary donations made to the family will be placed in a trust for Dawn’s grandson, Cullen Moore.
