David L. Johns, 69, of Elmore, OH passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born on April 25, 1947 in Dayton, OH to Marjorie Bidgood and William Johns. David worked as a fork lift driver for Chrysler Trenton South Engine Plant for over 32 years, retiring in 1999. David came to know Christ as his savior on April 12, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church. He was very active at church and sang in the choir. In his spare time, David enjoyed building models and doll houses. He was an avid sports fan especially watching the Cleveland Indians.
David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Tana; children, Brian Johns, Debbie (George) Ofei-Addo and Denise Bleau; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Paula Bird.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church 325 S. Toussaint Portage Rd. in Oak Harbor, OH. at 11 a.m. where family will greet guests after 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
