David Paul Bruhn

David Paul Bruhn age 77 of Toledo, passed away at home on Thursday, January 12, 2023. David was born to Ralph and Mildred (Carnes) Bruhn on April 3, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio. He was a 1963 graduate of Bowsher High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963-1968 during the Vietnam War. David worked in manufacturing for Dana Corp and after retirement worked in security for many years. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed golfing, bowling and reading. Dave served as a Deacon for Northwood Baptist Church. He was very outspoken in his faith sharing God’s love as a supply pastor for several churches.

David is survived by his wife of 33 years Mary (Long); children Kandi (Terry) Kalb, Chuck (Karen) Bruhn, and Penne Harmon; step-children Patrick Utter and Marylynn Utter; grandchildren Taylor, Tori, Kayleen, Aubrey, Nick, Robert, and Lindsay; great-grandchildren Audrey, Oliver, Graham, Luke, Chloe, Charlie, and Ella Fay; and siblings Vivian, Ralph, Sharon, Kay, and Marti. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 4 until 8 p.m. A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Northwood Baptist Church on Florence.
