David J. Bodnar

David J. Bodnar, 69, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born April 2, 1949 in Toledo. David attended St. Stephen Elementary School and graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School class of 1967. He worked for 42 years at Johns Manville. David was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the William Penn Association. He was an avid bowler with 8-300 games and 1-800 series. He also enjoyed golf and car shows.

David is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Paula; children Brenda, Patrick and Christopher Bodnar (Cassie); grandchildren Ryleigh, Braylynn, Hudson and Harper Bodnar; siblings Tim and MaryEllen Klatt; mother-in-law Patsy Elvey; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Bodnar and Reba Klatt; brothers Michael Bodnar and John Klatt and father-in-law Robert Elvey.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 3-9 p.m.  Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 12 noon and continue on with the Funeral Mass at 1p.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Stephen. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to UT Dana Cancer Center, 1325 Conference Dr., Toledo, OH 43614 or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
