Darlene Marie (Basquez) Langenderfer
Darlene Marie Langenderfer, 57, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday June 11, 2014. She was born in Toledo on March 7, 1957 to Cruz and Carol (Gall) Basquez and was a 1975 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School. She was active in the Lucas Co. Democratic Party and had worked as an Administrative Assistant for Marcy Kaptur’s office. Darlene was currently employed with the City of Toledo as a Payroll Administrator and was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish - St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Darlene treasured her family and cherished every moment spent with them especially family vacations in Mexico.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Jeff Langenderfer; children, Kristen (Brett) McClain, Eric (Nicole) Langenderfer, James (fiancée, Lisa) Langenderfer,and Aaron (fiancée, Merissa) Langenderfer; grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Madelyn, Emma Rose and Jaxon; father, Cruz Basquez; siblings, Joseph (Mary), Philip, David, Veronica (Steven) and Robert along with many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Gall and niece, Nicole Ann Shoemaker.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 2 - 8 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 a.m. and continue on with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
