Darlene J. Betz, 88, of Oregon made her journey to Heaven's garden on Thursday, June 5. Born on July 24, 1925 to Edward and Ida Mottmiller.
Shortly after marrying the love of her life, Dwaine in 1948, they owned and ran Betz's Superette. In 1967, she decided to devote her time to raising their daughter, Dawn.
Her love of traveling and yard work was apparent to all who knew her. Along with spending many winters in Las Vegas, in their motorhome, Darlene and her family were able to travel frequently. They were able to visit all 50 states, 49 of them in their motorhome. She loved making wreaths and tending to her plants. She was outside any chance she got.
Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Her memory will carry on in the hearts of her husband of 65 years Dwaine, daughter Dawn (George) Betz-Peiffer, granddaughter Dayna Betz Peiffer (Tony Brown), and beloved great-grandson Nolan Paul-Betz Patrick. The family will honor Darlene in a private service at Freck Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 9.
