DANNY RAY GEARS, SR.
Danny R. Gears, Sr., 58, of Oregon, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He was born May 12, 1956 in Toledo to Ada and John Gears, Sr. and was a 1974 graduate of Macomber High School. Danny was a truck driver for 30 years, working for T & H Transport (formerly J & B Leasing) for the past 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing with his grandsons and admiring classic cars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judi Gears; son, Danny, Jr.; grandsons, Jordan Nuckols and Derek Hehl-Gears; siblings, Jeff, Jerry and Jay Gears and Jane Wagner along with many nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Patsy, Judy, Jack, John, Jr., Jim and Joe.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 1-4 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at 4 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the family.
