Daniel L. Maix Sr., 55, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born on October 13, 1957 in Galion, Ohio to Leon and Betty Maix. A graduate of Clay High School, Dan attended Galion Welding School becoming a welder by trade. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with the grandchildren. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. Dan was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and was a boy scout leader for many years. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara; children: Daniel II (Lori) and Desiree (Milan III); grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Emily and Leeum; father, Leon; brothers, David and Rocky (Michelle); sisters, Tina (Craig) and Tonya (Randy) and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon, Ohio on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. where services will be held at 7p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
