Daniel D. Roberts

Daniel D. Roberts, age 85, of Oregon, OH passed away at home on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. He was born in Brady, TX to Warren and Grace (Underwood) Roberts on June 10, 1939. In his younger years, he worked several jobs in automotive body repair and later worked as truck driver in his later years. In 1978, he married the love of his life, Emma and they would spend the next 43 years together until her passing in 2021. Daniel enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time at church. A special thanks to the Lion of Judah congregation for being so welcoming and journeying with Daniel the past few years.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Arnold Ray (Linda) Colvin, Joel (Renee) Roberts; daughter, Julie Bauer; son-in-law, Fred Dazley; daughter-in-law, Rena Schmerber; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Verna Adams; and brother-in-law, Marion (Dorothy) Girardot Jr; and dear friends, Pastor Mark and Linda Fry. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Emma; son, David; daughter, Becky; his parents; two sisters; and brother.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel , 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service held at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Nation Gospel Tabernacle, Oregon, OH.
