Dallas G. Alonzo, 63, of Oregon, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 3, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on February 3, 1952 to Guadalupe and Willa Mae (Lewis) Alonzo and attended DeVilbiss High School. He was a licensed barber and worked in construction. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his bike “Panama Jack” beach cruiser and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Jasmine.
He is survived by his soul mate and best friend of 10 years, Agnes Jones; daughter, Delia Alonzo; grandchildren, Alessandra, Mario and MadiAnna Alonzo-Guerrero; Agnes’ daughters, Tammy Jones and Wendy (William) Corley and Agnes’ grandchildren, Don Reynolds, Jr., Marcus and Charles Smoot, Briana and Cali Jones, Angel and Terra Neal, Ka’Shawn Sanders, Connor and Zoey Corley and Madisyn Jackson. Dallas was preceded by his mother and step-father, Willa Mae and Guadalupe Lumbreras and father Guadalupe Alonzo.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, December 10, 2015 after 9 a.m. where prayers will be recited at Noon. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Agnes Jones.
