Dakota Morgan Warren

Bob and Pat Miller would like to announce that their beloved son, Dakota Morgan Warren (Boog/Doodlebug), ascended into heaven on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 after fulfilling God’s purpose for him on Earth which was to set an example of God’s unconditional love and to positively affect even those that had not met but only heard of him. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 22nd, 1994 with a true warrior’s spirit, fighting and winning all the battles throughout his life up until the end. As his parents, we are so thankful for the joy he gave us, the example he set for us and the changes he made in us. For all those that loved him, he was a bright light during dark times, a smile during bad times, and laughter during the good times. His joy and never-ending “toothy grin” will never be forgotten.

Dakota leaves behind his parents, Bob and Pat Miller; his father, LaBron Warren (Jasper, TN); sister, Alice (Shawn) Steckenfinger; two nephews; grandmothers, Mary Ann Womack (Chattanooga, TN) and Carol Miller; aunts and uncles, Billy (Jan) Womack (Chattanooga), Kelly (Abel) Guerrero, and Scott Miller; numerous cousins; and long-time devoted aide, Davon Taylor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy and June Warren of Jasper, TN, and Billy Jack Womack, Sr., of Chattanooga, TN.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Assured Health Services for their support throughout the years.  Also, we would like to express our appreciation to Care 360 Hospice for their compassion and assistance especially during Dakota’s final transition.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., in Oregon on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. The family will greet guests after 9:00 a.m. in the church narthex. Dakota will be laid to rest following the funeral mass at St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
