Cynthia Rose Scheid, 65, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2015, after nearly a two year battle with cancer, at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, OH.
Cynthia was born on January 2, 1950, in Bellevue, Ohio, to father, Ralph Huffman and mother, Marcella (Ruffing) Huffman. After graduating from Bellevue Senior High School in 1968, she continued her education at Norwalk Radiology School. She married Lowell “John” Scheid, Jr., on September 3, 1973. She worked as a Radiologic Technologist at Bellevue Hospital until the family relocated to Oregon, Ohio, in 1994.
Cynthia was a loving and giving wife, mother, and grandmother, with a love of flowers, antiques, romance novels, and thrift stores. Even after her stage IV cancer diagnosis in 2014, she continued to put her family at the forefront of her life.Her family was her most cherished gift and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, John, and children;Brandon, Ericka, Nathan (Charlene), Elisha (Nick) Arakas, as well as her sisters, Kathy (Thomas) Schart, Brenda (Jack) Ziegler, Patricia (Michael) Stevens, and Rhonda (Thomas) Joseph; grandchildren, Kaeden and Kaja Blount and Claudia Arakas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family would especially like to thank the staff of Flower Hospital’s Hickman Cancer Center and ProMedica’s Hospice for their constant attentive treatment; and the Freck Funeral Chapel, for making the arrangements.A private gathering and memorial service will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, Ohio, on November 21, 2015.
