Clyde L. Ackerman, 84, of Toledo passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Oregon, Ohio, on August 3, 1932 to Lewis and Sophia (Joehlin) Ackerman. Clyde served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Press Operator for Toledo Metal Spinning for 38 years until retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis and Kenneth Ackerman; grandson, Nathan Ackerman; sister, Velda Brehm and brother, Larry Ackerman. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 54 years, Mary Ann; son, Jeffery; siblings, Roland Ackerman, Otto Lallendorf, Marian Ackerman and Wilma Zuvers.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
