Clara C. Manning, 89, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 17, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to Gabriel and Hazel Hipp. Clara worked for the Cameo Inc. for 27 years, retiring in 1992. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, boating, crocheting and spending time with her family. Clara was a member of the V.F.W. Post# 9816 in Oregon.
She is survived by her children: Mary Manning, Sharon (Donald) Orth, Ronald (Barb) Manning, Connie (Rick) Mulinix, Sandra (Gary) Cline, Gary (Tina) Manning, Beatrice (Tommy) Lane and Terry (Vicky) Manning; 26 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren and brother, John Hipp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald and her sister, Gladys Dove.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
