Christine A. Sanchez, 50, of Walbridge, Ohio passed on Sunday February 14, 2016. She was born on December 25, 1965 in Toledo to Richard and Helen (Rakay) Singlar. Christine was a 1984 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and a 1988 graduate from the University of Toledo. She worked 16 years for the US Postal Service, which included her serving proudly as a union official for the APWU.
Following her passion of caring for others, she would later continue her education receiving her degree as a registered nurse (RN). Christine worked as an RN for both UTMC and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and positive energy touched the lives of many. She most cherished her many travels with her husband Sal, spoiling her niece, nephews and grandchildren, and her time at the ballpark watching her husband play baseball or in Cincinnati cheering for her Reds.
Christine is survived by her loving husband, Salvador D. Sanchez; stepsons, Derrick (Jennifer) Sanchez and Salvador J. (Emily) Sanchez; parents, Richard and Helen Singlar; siblings, Kathy Singlar, Rick (Wendy) Singlar and Brian (Robyn) Singlar; grandchildren, Brady, Ian, Preston, Kaleigh, Dominic and Maci; niece, Lindsey; nephews, Greg, Nathan, and Nicholas Singlar and mother-in-law, Delia Sanchez.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. where a Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Stephen Church with the family receiving guests an hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Stephen Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
