Chester J. "Jay" Lajzer

April 24, 1957 — September 30, 2015

Chester J. “Jay” Lajzer Jr., 58, of Toledo passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. He was born in Toledo on April 24, 1957 to Chester and Edna (Coulter) Lajzer Sr. Jay worked as a Press Operator for Pexco Packaging for 30 years until he retired in 2007. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting and working on cars. Jay was an accomplished traveler making it to 49 of the 50 states. He cared about his community and was a volunteer Firefighter for the Jerusalem Township Fire Department. Above all, Jay treasured his family and friends and many will miss him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Jason Lajzer, Megan (Travis) Baer and Blake (Tiffany) Lajzer; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Maryanne Oyler and Lora (Perry) Marlow and lifelong companion, Connie Lajzer . Jay was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.

Arrangements are being handled by Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon. A memorial service will be held at Bono Baptist Church, 967 Main St in Martin on Saturday, October 24 at 11 a.m., where a Firemen’s last alarm will take place. Burial be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Life Connection of Ohio.
