Charles E. "Charlie" Stewart

Charles E. “Charlie” Stewart, 72, of Toledo, OH passed away Monday, September 2, 2013. He was born September 16, 1940 in Rockview, WV to Charles O. and Irene (Halsey) Stewart. Charlie served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crises. He worked as a machinist with Teledyne for 35 years until his retirement. Charlie was a member of the Rossford Eagles. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, golfing, tennis, running, gardening, as well as being a big Steelers Fan. Charlie loved his family and made them, particularly his grandkids, the biggest part of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Katherine Stewart; children, Chuck (Kimberly Hasapes) Stewart, Dana Stewart, Margaret (David) Coffman; grandchildren, DJ (Maria) Coffman, Stewart Coffman, and CJ Stewart; siblings, Rita Young, Jerry (Bonnie) Stewart, Lacy Stewart, and Buren (Cindy) Stewart; brothers- in-law, Jack and Bob, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Helen Hamblin, Doris Hall, Jimmy Stewart, and Glen Stewart; brother-in-law, Frank.

Friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon, OH on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. where funeral services will begin Saturday at Noon.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to give memorial contributions are asked to consider the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
