Charles Neshkoff

Charles Neshkoff, age 88, of Northwood, OH, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on February 8, 1934, in Oregon, OH to Dan and Dorothy (Blanchard) Neshkoff. Charles proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1962.  While in the Army he was stationed in Germany, mainly guarding the Berlin Wall. Charles worked as an engineer at Interlake for 37 years, retiring in 1987.  After retiring, he worked at Lake Township Cemetery as the cemetery sexton for 12 years.

At a young age, Charles fell in love with bowling.  He became a member of the A.B.C., in 1952 and played on many leagues, even bowling on military bases, while serving.  Charles had two perfect 300 games and countless eleven in a rows.   He joined the Senior P.B.A. in 2002 and bowled against many professionals, such as Dick Weber, Pete Weber, and Walter Ray Williams.  Charles also enjoyed NASCAR, but most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be dearly missed.

Charles leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Virginia Neshkoff; his daughter, Cheryl Tennant of Sylvania, OH; his grandson, Matthew Tennant of Chattanooga, TN; and many extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Dennis Tennant, and beloved dog, Susie.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at Lake Township Cemetery with military funeral honors. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
