CHARLES A. MICHAEL
Charles A. Michael, 84, of Northwood, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Mercy-St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was born in Gibsonburg, Ohio on September 2, 1928 to Charles W. and Gladys E. (Tabbert) Michael and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo. Charles served our country in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of the DAV.
For over 32 years, Charles was a teacher with Perrysburg Public Schools teaching at Toth Elementary and a member of the OEA and NEA. He was also a member of the Northwood Church of God, a life member of the Gibsonburg American Legion Post 17, a 60+ year member of the Gibsonburg Mason Lodge 575 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife, Dora A. (Feese) Michael; daughters, Barbara Ruch and Karen (John) Granata; grandchildren, Andrew (Katie) Ruch, Renae (David) Ruch and Monica Granata and four great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may visit from 9-11 a.m. at Northwood Church of God, 1838 S. Coy in Oregon on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Northwood Church of God or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
