CHARLES R. KARRICK
Charles R. Karrick, 73, of Oregon, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo on December 31, 1939 to Charles F. and Hazel M. Karrick and was a 1957 graduate of Macomber High School. Chuck served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves.
For over 30 years, Chuck worked in sales for Toledo Generator and most recently was employed with Matthews Ford in Oregon. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Toledo Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. No. 144. He was very active in the Oregon Community Theatre, Stage Manager for The Choraliers and an active member of the Friends of Maumee Bay. Chuck loved coaching various sport teams that his sons participated and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. He enjoyed camping and fishing in his spare time but most of all loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Kay (Huffman) Karrick; sons, David (Angela), Stephen (Kerri) and Peter (Michelle); grandchildren, Jaiden, Maci, Natalie, Stephanie, Joseph, Andrew, Emily, Blake, Hannah and Olivia and sisters, Coleen and Eileen. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday after 10 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 5757 Starr Avenue in Oregon where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Christ United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
