Charles J. Hodge

Charles J. Hodge, age 66, passed from this life on Friday, September 7, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.  The youngest of 13 children he was born on January 13, 1946 to Jesse and Daisy (Bynum) Hodge. Charles worked for General Motors Hydromatic as a machine operator for 35 years until his retirement in 2006. In his spare time he enjoyed boating and fishing. Most of all Charles was his grandchildren’s biggest fan and loved watching them play different sports and grow.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, of 46 years, Pam; children, Jeff Hodge and Michelle (John) Middaugh; grandchildren, Justin, Chelsea, Jacob and Jessica; great granddaughter, Lilly; brother, James and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Boots, Rayford and Mack; sisters, Ann, Myrtle, Kitty, Jean, Betty, Mary, Jesse Mae and Mary Magdalene.

Family and friends may visit Mainstreet Church, 705 N. Main Street, Walbridge, OH on Thursday, from 11- 1 p.m. where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.  Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
