Celia H. “Helena” Reynolds, 89, of Oregon, OH passed away, peacefully, on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH. She was born in Murray City, OH on April 1, 1925, the oldest of six children. She was born to William F. and Florence (Robson) Parks. Celia married Dale Reynolds on January 31, 1945 and together they raised six children. She was the Head Administrator for the Oregon City Schools Cafeteria System for 27 years until she retired in 1991. Celia gained the love and respect of many students and educators. She was a devoted member of Christ United Methodist and served as an adult Bible School Teacher and sung in the church choir. Among her hobbies were: crocheting, sewing, baking, reading, journaling, discussing politics and telling stories from her childhood. Family was her greatest joy and she will be dearly missed.
Celia is survived by her children; Georjanne Pawlowski, Keith (Paula) Reynolds, Marcia Lynn (Mike) Kole, Wesley (Candi) Reynolds, MaryAnn Kelly; daughter-in-law, Donna Reynolds; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Richards, Clarice (John) Nelson, Bill (Gladys) Parks, Paul (Sandy) Parks and Louise (Ron) Shade. She was preceded in death by her, beloved, husband, Dale Reynolds; parents; first born son, Danny Reynolds and one great-grandson.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Murray City V.F.W. or the Murray City Eagles Club.
