Cecundino "Ko Ko" Reyes

Northwood, Ohio

Cecundino “Ko Ko” Reyes, 90, of Northwood, Ohio passed away October 20, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Malakoff, Texas on July 1, 1930 to Jose and Andrea (Guerrero) Reyes.  A graduate of Waite High School, Ko Ko went on to honorably serve in the US Army Tank Division during the Korean War.  He married the love of his life Ramona and together they spent many joyful years.  Ko Ko was an active parishioner at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church assisting with prison ministry, migrant ministry, and Bible study programs.  He was a volunteer with the Lucas County Democratic Party.  He loved baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians, and enjoyed music and writing poetry.  Ko Ko leaves behind to cherish his memory his children Irene (Wayne) Wittebort, Theresa (Richard) Foster and Bernadette Reyes; his siblings Maria Louisa Reyes and Frank (Mary) Reyes; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and beloved family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ramona; his son Richard Barboza; his parents and his siblings.

Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 South Wynn Road, Oregon on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m.  The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 738 S. St. Clair Street, Toledo, Ohio, with interment to follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
