Carolyn Marie Reitzel

Carolyn Marie Reitzel age 83, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center. Carolyn was born in Northwood, Ohio on April 18, 1938 to Clarence and Margaret (Steiner) Smith. She was a graduate of the then Olney High School (now Northwood High School). Carolyn married her husband James Reitzel who preceded her in death January 9, 2009. Carolyn loved her family, her Bingo and fishing.

Carolyn is survived by her children Larry (Raymond) Fountain Jr., Michael (Laurie) Fountain Sr., Melinda (Neil) Wisniewski, Pamela (Michael) Kwiatkowski, Keith (Traci) Fountain and Tonya (Randy) DiMasso; step-children James Reitzel, Barbara Reitzel Bohnen, Kenneth Reitzel and their children; Carolyn’s surviving grandchildren Michael Jr., Larry, Robin, Justin, Samantha, Scott, Melissa, Rebecca, AnnaLisa, Leah, Olivia, Corey, Kyle, Amber and Shaun; many great-grandchildren and her brother Robert Smith. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Shawn, two brothers Donnie and Ronald Smith, and stepson Bobby Reitzel.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
