Carol J. Ritchey, 70, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on November 23, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Mary (Shafer) Betts. Carol worked as a Housekeeper for several different places, most recently at Perry Lake Village. She enjoyed walks in nature, crafting and dancing. Carol volunteered at the Y.W.M.C. and the Salvation Army. She was a kind soul that helped any and everyone she could. Carol will be dearly missed in many lives.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Butte, Charles (Melissa) Hines, Douglas Williams and Janine (Mike) Matis; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and siblings, James, Maryann and Diana. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; 3 great-grandchildren and siblings, Earl, Philip, Robert and Marlene.
A Memorial Service celebrating Carol’s life will be held T.B.D. in the Freck Funeral Chapel at T.B.D. with the family to receive guests two hours prior. Inurnment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home.
