Carol Jean (Hymore) Leggett

Carol J. Leggett, age 88, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center.  She was born on September 12, 1935 in Erie Twp, Michigan to Walter and Mary Jacobs.  Carol ran Rusty’s Tavern for many years.  She was a member of Intersection Church where she made many friends.  Carol had a beautiful singing voice and loved her family dearly.  She will be deeply missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Kenneth Hymore, Vicki (Thomas) Gulch, Charles (Dawn) Hymore, Julie (Thomas) Brent, and Samuel Hymore; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Nina Wygant, Larry Jacobs, Kenneth (Sandy) Jacobs, Linda Brown, and Lorain (Bill) Overstreet.  She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, George Hymore, second husband, Arnold Leggett and brothers, Jake Jacobs and Richard Jacobs.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 2-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
