Carol Sue Johnson age 82 of Walbridge, Ohio passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Carol was born to William Roscoe and Ethel (Ratliff) Brown in Jonesboro, Indiana on October 8, 1941. She graduated from Epworth Private School in Jonesboro, Indiana. She spent most of her life serving the public, first at Colbert’s Café in Upland, Indiana and then at Lynn’s Restaurant in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She always had the ability to know just what to say to brighten your day. She was extremely kind, generous, and loving. She was an avid reader and crossword fanatic. She loved spending time with her family; she never missed a birthday and her grandchildren always looked forward to her cards. She was loved by so many and our lives will forever be altered by her absence.

Carol is survived by her children Bill Stevens, Mike Johnson, Linda (Doug) Stevens, Kim Carroll, and Lee (Steve Staats) Crabtree; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister Barbara Ellis and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Johnson; her parents; granddaughter Samantha Stevens; great-granddaughter Peyton Crabtree and great-grandson Kash Johnson; brothers Dean, Gene, Jim, and Norman Brown and sister Rosie Baker.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Regency Rehabilitation Center in Oregon and its entire staff for their amazing and compassionate care of our mom. Also, to Dr. Ranvil Rathore, Dr. Ajeet Sharma, and Dr. Karl Fernandes for their outstanding care of “Mamaw”.

A private inurnment will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida where she will be laid to rest with the love of her life, Raymond.

In lieu of Flowers, the family respectfully requests a small donation to a local homeless shelter to help those less fortunate- as this was mom’s nature; helping others.
