Carol Sue Barton, 72, of Millbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1st, at 1:00 pm surrounded by her loving husband John, daughter Kishta, and grandson Tommy.
Carol was born in Warsaw , Indiana on January 3, 1943, to the late William and Helen Katte.
On June 26, 1959, Carol married the love of her life, John T. Barton, in Toledo, Ohio. Together they had two children; a son, John, and a daughter, Kishta.
Carol most enjoyed spending time with her husband John, especially the two of them playing golf at the Chippewa golf course, were they were members, going to the Casino’s and watching their favorite shows at night. She loved doting on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her kitties, especially her black one which slept with her every night.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, and a granddaughter Jon Casey.
She will be sorely missed by her loving husband of 56 years, John T. Barton; her son John D. (Lisa) Barton of New Philadelphia, Ohio; her daughter Kishta (Bruce) Millinger of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Richard Katte; sisters Dorothy Priser and Jane Massie; seven grandchildren; GySgt. John J. (Jessica) Barton, USMC, of Dover, Ohio; Aisha (Tejae) Kelley of Dover, Ohio; John Thomas Millinger of Millbury, Ohio; Tad Millinger of Las Vegas, Nevada; Jared Barton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Autumn Barton of Alliance, Ohio; Taylor Millinger (Ian Stubbins) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and 7 great-grandchildren; Bryce, Braelynn, and Brielle Kelley; JJ, Jace, and Jaxon Barton; and Deacon Stubbins.
A private ceremony celebrating Carol’s life will be held Monday, July 6, 2015, for immediate family.
