Carol Noreen Barna

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Noreen Barna, age 91, on April 14, 2025. Carol was born on April 17, 1933 to Beatrice & Harold Channell. She was a life long resident of Toledo, Ohio where she attended Whitney High School and Owens Community College. Carol worked in the accounting department at Owens Illinois for 27 years, before retiring to do volunteer work at Kingston of Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents, (3) siblings, and loving husband, Joseph E. Barna in 1983. Carol is the mother of Beth (Craig) Myers and Lori (Terry) Edens. She has (5) grandchildren ~ Jason Myers, Amanda Myers, Sam (Melissa) Edens, Adam (Jenny) Edens, and Ben (Kate) Edens. Carol has (3) great grandchildren ~ Lyla Edens, Cora Edens & Isabel Edens.

A funeral will be held in Carol’s honor on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Gardens of St. Francis, located at 930 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio. The funeral showing will be from 10:00 am ~ 11:00 am in the chapel with mass immediately following. Following mass, there will be a gravesite service at Calvary Cemetery, located at 2224 Dorr Street in Toledo, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, on behalf of Carol Barna.
