Carlos Negrin, age 60, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Detroit, Michigan. He was born to Ernesto and Josefa (Falcon) Negrin in Havana, Cuba on February 14, 1952. Carlos worked for Timiny Rail Road Construction for 9 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing baseball and dominos. He was a true talker and enthusiastic about everything he did. Most knew him best for Gavilan.
Carlos is survived by his children, Nelson Negrin and Belkis Negrin; step children, Bertha and Osvaldo; grandchildren, Sarita E. Negrin, Carlos E. Negrin II, Alicia Negrin, Lazaro D. Campis, Nelisa A. Nieto, Kiara Negrin; companion, Caridad Pons, father, Ernesto; brothers and sisters, Eugenio, Maria Esther, Santiago, Pedro, Maricela, Maria Elena, Abel, Damaisi, Olga, Lydia, Joel, Josefa Isabel, Henry, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carlos was preceded in death by his mother, Josefa and son, Carlos E. Negrin II.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 2-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to his children.
