CARLA LEE (KNECHT) BARKER
Carla L. Barker, 48, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born in Toledo on July 16, 1966 to Carl and Joyce (Roe) Knecht. She was a graduate of Whitney Vocational School and after her two boys were grown went back to school and graduated from Ross Medical College. She began her career as a Medical Assistant with Genoa Retirement Care Center and then for the past 3 years with Woodville Family Practice which is now known as Mercy Family Practice. She loved her family and enjoyed baking, sewing, making crafts and was an avid OSU fan.
Carla is survived by her loving husband, Patrick; sons, Steven and Kenneth (Leah) Barker; mother, Joyce Knecht; sisters, Debbie Fugert, Karen (Tom) Zeisler, June Avaritt and Angie Knecht and brother-in-law, James Barker. She was preceded in death by her father.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 after 2 p.m. with the Funeral Services to begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
