Carl Edwin Kleinser

Carl Edwin Kleinser, 86, of Northwood, OH, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Toledo, OH to Edward and Ema (Rowe) Kleinser on June 22, 1935. Carl was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School and went on to marry the love of his life, Betty Lou, and together they raised their family. He was employed for many years as a small garage auto mechanic, later as a claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance, and most recently for E.S. Wagner. Carl was greatly involved with the Catholic Knights of Ohio, now the Catholic Order of Foresters, and was a lifetime member. In 2001 he was recognized by the Catholic Knights of Ohio for 27 years of faithful service as a trustee for the board of directors from 1974-2001.

Carl leaves behind his loving wife, Betty Lou; his children, Dale Kleinser, Connie (Alan) Adolph, and Janet Kleinser; his granddaughter, Brittanny Adolph (Todd Simkus); and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katie Lynn; his sister, Mary Ellen; and his parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, OH on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior in the church narthex. Carl will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Vic Huss Vocational Fund.
