Brandon Michael Shaffer, 15, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He was born on September 5, 1996 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert H. and Nichole (Fejes) Shaffer Jr. He attended Genoa High School. Brandon loved playing football, singing country music, playing video games, hanging out with his friends and playing with Jonah the horse. He was a class clown and enjoyed the happiness he brought to others.
Brandon is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Nichole Shaffer Jr.; brothers, Austin, Justin, Ryan and Kaden Shaffer; grandparents, Deborah Duncan, Robert H. Shaffer Sr., John and Martha Fejes and Teri Kohlhofer-Michalak; great-grandparents, Marcella Shaffer, William and Shirlie DeShetler; aunts and uncles, Janet (Aaron) Dunbar, Jennifer (Bill) Cannon, John W. Fejes II; several great aunts and uncles, cousins, the Matthew’s family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Betty Fejes, Robert and Pauleen Duncan and Omar Shaffer.
Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon, on Monday September 12th from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday September 13th from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Cedar Creek Church, 29129 Lime City Rd., in Perrysburg on Wednesday, September 14th at 11 a.m. A memorial fund has been set up at any Genoa or Huntington Bank in Brandon’s name.
