BONNIE JEAN (HEIDEN) VARGA
Bonnie J. Varga, 79, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at her home. She was born in Toledo on June 7, 1934 to Albert and Irene (Zeadker) Heiden and was a 1952 graduate of Waite High School. Bonnie married Robert Varga, Sr. on June 26, 1953 and was a faithful member of First St. John Lutheran Church. She worked as a Head Start Assistant with Jerusalem Township Schools and helped with the family farm. She was a gifted cook, enjoyed gardening, bowling golfing and playing poker and euchre.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Doreen) Varga, Jr.; daughter, Jeanie (Bill) Free; grandchildren, Chris, Andrew and Lauren Varga, Jonathan and Garrison Free; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Rodrigues. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother, Donnie Heiden.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Road in Toledo. Burial will follow at Allen Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Elevator Fund at First St. John Lutheran Church or the Thomas D. Kitz Foundation.
