Billie C. Halka, age 70, of Oregon Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born on November 5, 1942, to William and Virginia (Strouthers) Hymore. Billie graduated from Waite High School. She started her working life as a Hairdresser in Connecticut and later in her career was an office manager for 12 years until she retired. Billie was a very gifted seamstress sewing for Singer and several fabric stores. She loved cooking, crocheting and had a great connection with her family, particularly her grandchildren. The many lives she touched will forever miss her.
Billie is survived by her loving daughter, Angela DiStefano; grandchildren, Mark, Tony, Kailie, Andriel, Miah and Alexis; great-grandchild, Azslin; siblings, Jim and Judy; aunt, Sylvia as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Mark DiStefano, Jacqueline Abdo, Michael DiStefano and great-grandchild, Michael Seroka.
Friends and family may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon, OH on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
