Beverly Gennell (Hollett) Lammie

1930 — 2018

On Friday September 14, 2018 Beverly Gennell Lammie passed away at the age of 88. Beverly was a Toledo native and a graduate of Waite High School. In 1952, Bev married Frederick Lammie where they spent 50 years in marital bliss...most of the time. When Fred's ornery personality decided to rear its ugly head it pushed Bev to add money to her ever growing "divorce fund".
Bev worked for many years at Toledo Autolite/Prestolite Company, retiring in the late 1980's. During her retirement Bev spent many happy years at her home at Little Long Lake in Hillsdale County, MI.
Bev will be lovingly remembered by her son, Shane Lammie; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lammie; as well as her sisters, Patsy Hotmer and Nathalie (Dick) Corado. Bev will also be affectionately remembered by her grandchildren, Michealene (Brian) Malin, Sean Nicolette Lammie, Patric (Cassie) Lammie, Brittany Lammie and Kyle (Shane) Fellers and 6 great-grandchildren. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frederick Lammie; and her son, Sean Lammie.

Bev loved spending time with her family and made many happy memories with them. Her grandchildren will always remember her as being a strong-willed, independent woman who was never afraid to cheat in a 5 hour, knock-down, drag-out game of Scrabble. She was quick-witted and her spunky come backs often left her grandchildren in hysterics.

Bev never hesitated to tell her great-grandchildren, "I love you to pieces" while slipping them a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup.

These are just a couple of the thousands of memories that we have of this extraordinary woman. While her death was anticipated, it doesn't cease to leave a hole in our hearts. Thankfully we have these memories of her to cherish.

To celebrate her life private services are being held.

Donations in Beverly's memory can be made to the Osteogenesis Imprefecta Foundation at www.oif.org.
