BETTY  JANE  (MARTIN)  LOHMEYER

Betty Jane (Martin) Lohmeyer, 75, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away suddenly on May 25, 2015, at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio.  She was born at her family home in Ross Township, now Northwood, on August 19, 1939, to Albert and Elizabeth (Floro) Martin. Betty was a 1957 graduate of Lake High School and married James Lohmeyer on March 28, 1958.  Betty’s career was that of a Homemaker.  Her true joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family.  She enjoyed spending time with family, taking family vacations and making memories with the kids.  She took great pride in supporting the accomplishments of her children and all her grandchildren; never missing a graduation, a cheer competition, a dance recital or a birthday.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jim; her children, Virginia (Keith) Perkins, Joyce Lohmeyer, James Lohmeyer, Peggy Lohmeyer, Kathi Lohmeyer, Judy (Scott) Pope, Albert (Jennifer) Lohmeyer; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, William (Sylvia) Martin; sisters, Mona Anderson and Nancy (John) West and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Keith Perkins Jr. and siblings, Louis Cluckey, Rose Schaller, Albert Martin Jr. and James Martin.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio on Sunday, May 31, 2015, from 2-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Lake Township Cemetery.
