Betty Katherine Bryant

Betty (Dixon) Bryant passed away peacefully at her East Toledo home on September 23, 2024.  She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 16, 1948 to her late parents John and Dora Dixon.  Betty earned her Associates Degree in Building Maintenance; and for ten years she worked in office/house cleaning services.  The “job” that she was most proud of was being a devoted housewife and caretaker to all of her family.  Especially her grandson Dustin (Rocky) Bryant who she cared for the last 33 years.

Betty’s beloved husband Don Bryant, Sr. preceded her in death.  They enjoyed 60 years of being together as a couple.  Betty leaves behind daughters, Jodi Gross (Jerry), Donita Otto (Tony), Dora Campbell (Gary), Son, Donald Bryant, Jr. (Aimee) and her bonus son Dustin (Rocky) Bryant.  She has 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter; and she has brothers John (Doris) Dixon, and Harry (Joyce) Dixon.  She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Julia Bryant who passed away in 2021. And her parents John and Dora Dixon and her sister Virginia Edwards.

Our wonderful Mom will be remembered for many things; she was strong, witty, sweet and she had a spunky side to her. One of her favorite things to do was she loved to cook.  She could whip up a meal that would feed an army.  And, Christmas was her favorite time of the year because she loved to shop for her grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel , Oregon, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to the East Toledo Family Center.
