Bertha Ann (Saunders) Velliquette

Bertha Velliquette, 74, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at ProMedica-Ebeid Hospice Residence.  She was born on May 30, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Dorothy Saunders.  Bertha was a graduate of Waite High School where she marched with the Airman’s Marching Group.  In her younger years, she loved to tap dance, play dart’s and was a pool shark.  Bertha worked at various places over the years including, Diamond Industries, McDonalds and retiring from Meijer.   In her spare time, she loved to play scrabble, make ceramics, puzzles, loved her dogs, and spend time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Bertha is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas Velliquette; daughters, Michelle (Jack) Myers and Melissa (Hiram) Crabtree; grandchildren, Sarah, Gregory, and Elizabeth Myers and Amanda and Dillon Crabtree; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Emmett, Baelynn and Steven; brothers, Gene Saunders and Philip “Bill” (Pat) Saunders and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Don Saunders, Larry Saunders and Sylvia Martens.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, from 2-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to ProMedica Ebeid Hospice.
