Bernice E. “Bea” Clarke, 100, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was born in Wauconda, Illinois on September 27, 1913 to Frank and Clara (Vehe) Nordmeyer. Bea was a corporate secretary for Pepsodent until she married her soul mate, John G. Clarke and decided to raise a family. They shared 55 years together. She was a lifetime member of Gesu Roman Catholic Parish and was involved in many activities there. In her spare time, she enjoyed working with Ladyfield and St. Ursula Academy schools. Bea was a devoted wife and mother and found her passion in being so.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Virginia (Mark Packo) Clarke and nephew, Earl “Sonny” (Beverly) Nordmeyer Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Nordmeyer Sr. and her husband, John.
Arrangements are being handled by the Freck Funeral Chapel. Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Gesu Roman Catholic Church 2049 Parkside Boulevard Toledo, Ohio 43607 on Monday, December 2, 2013. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
